Blue light is part of the visible light spectrum and produces a higher amount of energy, which could cause eye damage and the development of age-related macular degeneration. Computer screens and other digital devices emit significant amounts of blue light. Research has shown that blue light blocking lenses increase contrast significantly and protect the eyes at the same time. BLUE STOP selectively blocks the harmful types of blue light and helps reduce these effects.
